The red Bordeaux Superieur is characterized by aromatic complexity combining ripe fruits, floral aromas, spice, and a hint of oak. Its grapes are grown in the limestone soils of Bordeaux’s “high country” and then hand-selected according to rigorous criteria to ensure their quality. Throughout its turbulent history, invaders strived to control the Gironde estuary where the wine’s magnificent grapes are grown. After the grapes are destemmed and crushed, the wine is fermented and aged in oak barrels, giving it that distinguished, well-rounded structure. With an intense garnet hue, this Bordeaux blend is crafted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. This forms a pleasant bouquet of black fruit, blackberry, and morello cherry with undertones of spice, smoke, nutmeg, and cocoa. The tannins of this red blend are fine and well-balanced.
